J.Crew ‘Men Of Monocle’ For Spring/Summer 2010

J. Crew x the creative minds of UK Magazine Monocle present the new collection for the new season. J. Crew has always been a prep staple. Sort of like The Gap IMO, they have maintained classic simple design without having to have the "polo-horse" or a large logo overpower their clothing. They are only few labels that come in comparison.

Another shoe for me to fall in love with....

I present to you the Onitsuka Tiger Vickka, another simple design. As I grow older, I can honestly say my style has changed. I like my clothes/shoes simpler, not so many busy designs, purchases are now made out of functionality as opposed to just increasing quantity to show off to my peers. This basic design by Onitsuka, a Japanese sub-brand to the well-known sports brand Asics is addition I'd love to add to my collection. Knowing most "sneakerheads", they dont pay shoes any mind if they're not any of the MAJORS...but in my eyes, you can't call yourself an aficionado, connoisseur or anything of the like if you do not pay attention to it all and create your own unique style. Thats just my two cents.......

in this day and age, every youngster n they mama is wearin vans&SBs, there are other things that belong in ur repetoire, there are a number of other brands, from adidas to puma, CERTAIN reeboks (i cant vouch for all), etc. think outside the box, get creative but remain simple. these soon-to-released puma clydes&suedes fit the bill quite well n can be easily copped @ stores like DSW, finish line, zappo's n the like. so go get u sum.....

im not personally a fan of any of the Vulc series but ive never really been a fan of an ULTRA thick sole ... reminds me too much of orthopedic shoes -_- lls

So everyone was waiting for the last performance of the Night ,"Drake and Lil Wayne" , to tear the house down and send the BET Awards 2009 out with a bang. They sure did but not in the way you are thinking. Jamie Foxx said that every barbershop and beauty salon would be talking about this performance for years to come......... too bad, they were a bust. They didn't sound even close to the original song. Wait the best part was with the type of song they were preforming they had 15 year old girls up there, a sick attempt at a MJ if u ask me....Thank you to Worldstarhiphop for the video check it out tell me what you think.

FINALLY A TRUE OG COLORWAY!!! NIKE TOTAL AIR MAX UPTEMPO BLACK/VOLT!

Ok fellow sneak aficionados... here is a truly supreme offering from Nike for this summer... a true to form... and color... OG colorway of the NIKE TOTAL AIR MAX UPTEMPO...aka the Reggie Miller's in a hot black/volt colorway. Some may see that as of late these so called "retros" have minor variations and cheap materials that dont warrant the price tag. I can fully say, being that I have held and tried these on, that this shoe breaks that nasty habit of being ill manufactured.

The color is fire, the all volt icy sole that runs the length of the shoe is primo (watch out for wet days though it will cloud the sole quickly) and the materials are first rate.

Thank you Nike for taking the time to give us what we need. I think it is entirely worth its $160 price tag. A must cop.

I have seen on various websites such as Kicksonfire, Hypebeast, SoleCollector, and SneakerFiles (to name a few) feature this shoe and state that it is available at select Nike retailers... I went to my local Footlocker (my place of employment) and found them today.. fresh out of the case and already selling. So dont sleep on these please... if you got the cake go cop ASAP!!! Dont miss out a fine and dubious serving of Retro sneaker madness.

09 is bout to be a nice year for the retro....

I have mixed feelings about it. All these jays are classics for different reasons. Nubucks (black/university blue 12s) came in a package that was only supposedly available on Jordan website, you only got the envelope in the mail tellin u about it if u were a member or had "connections". The white/red 12 dropped in January of 97' and had the masses goin crazy cause it was one of the "regulars" (black/red, all black, or white/black colorways) which almost always drew attention. Last but not least, the SPACE JAMS, may be the most adored of all the XIs due to the fact they were worn by MJ in the 1996 movie Space Jam. All the jays below are set for release sometime this year. I have only one problem. Classics, originals or OGs as we like to call them are SUPPOSED to be hard to find, and have some sort sentimental and nostalgic value. The re-release are usually NOT of the same quality and they have usually changed something on the sneaker in the first place that ANY sneakerhead will be able identify. At the current moment, Im pretty much gonna say im disappointed in the Jordan Brand, their recently releases reek of desperation. All these GOD-AWFUL hybrids taking away from the original idea or tryna combine ideas from originals and mix them with a random number jordan (example). Whoever's responsible for this rubbish should be FIRED, no bullshit. Why u think mad ppl who used to collect Jordans heavy and cop every jay that drops are "retiring"? The game aint the same anymore....

In Memory of my Altitudes....

a few years ago, I bought sum altitude green and black XIIIs from my local DTLR (back when it was worth shoppin at...) and when i was tryna trim down the collection i put em up on E-bay and have regretted the decision ever since....





the highly sought after “Kryptonates” BKA the Foamposite Lite from this year’s NBA slam dunk contest are set for release at the famed House of Hoops in Harlem (i'd kill to live in NY to get my hands on sum of these releases, maybe i need to tap into sum resources) on March 17th. They were too ill for Nike not to take advantage....






Capitalizing on the success of the royal colorway, also set for release later this year in the fall are the black, green spark and metallic silver Nike Air Penny Half Cents. I'm not exactly a fan of hybrids (the breeding of 2 classics) because Nike/Jordan usually does a HORRIBLE job. I swear they should FIRE whoever's designing all these autrocious shoes and go back to Tinker Hatfield creating the classics of the early 90s....lol with all that said i'm ACTUALLY a fan of this colorway.
