The Boat/Deck Shoe Onslaught

"With street fashion being more influenced by classic American style, it’s only natural for boat shoe brands that might normally be overlooked garner some newly received attention"....

These are some recent collaborations I have noticed that are sure to turn eyes and heads....

Dixon Class CLARKS

Clarks is a company that never really goes out of style, as these Dixon Class shoes prove. Made of premium tan leather and featuring classic wing-tip perforations as first pioneered by Scottish aristocrats in the 1800s, these shoes are the perfect country shoe.

I couldn't have said it better myself....

J.Crew ‘Men Of Monocle’ For Spring/Summer 2010

J. Crew x the creative minds of UK Magazine Monocle present the new collection for the new season. J. Crew has always been a prep staple. Sort of like The Gap IMO, they have maintained classic simple design without having to have the "polo-horse" or a large logo overpower their clothing. They are only few labels that come in comparison.

Visvim 2010 S/S ABARTHMOC SlipOn Collection

Visvim, the Japanese brand designed by Hiroki Nakamura, brings us some classics for the new year with these slip-on style loafers. Known for their high-end footwear with streetwear influences, they always seem to be consistent designing "outside-the-box" classics that are essentials for any well-dressed individual.

Uniform Doc Martens

A new twist on an old classic with this collaboration between Dr. Marten and Uniform Experiment. Doc Marten have become a recent trend but they've taken wingtips and blend the two classics beautifully if only these weren't exclusive to Japan --_--

I'm Currently Feeling....

Darth Vader ZX runners, funny thing is I'm not even a Star Wars fan like talking about....I'm just a fan of the simple design that pays attention to the minor details. DEFINITELY a classic IMO.

Next up, we got the Air Force 1 High QS "Hiker". Obviously inspired by hiker's boots and along with the deep burgundy colorway, its also features a perforated swoosh, gold lace clips, thick boot-like lacing, and boot eyelets. This definitely one of the better designed Air Forces in recent memory...

Next up, we got the Johnny Cupcakes "Valentines Day" T-Shirts. The first red tee features the "Big Kid" mascot acting as cupid with the back carrying the trademark crossbones logo in a little heart. The second white tee is a collaboration with Looney Tunes featuring Pepe LePew catching a whiff of something good cooking in the oven. You can always depend on Johnny Cupcakes for unique, creative design. They have really established themselves as a brand that created a niche and stuck to it rather than cater to the masses....

Undrcrwn actually designed this "AstroDunk" tee in crew form for the SpaceJams, in my opinion, it was the best designed shirt for the shoe because it didn't just look like they just stuck some basic, hurried design on a tee. just my thoughts......

The next one up is Air Jordan "Skyline" tee, paying its respect to the Windy City of Chicago, the Jordan Brand created this shirt that displays a variety of air jordans and boxes in the silhouette of the Chicago Skyline.

If you frequent the blog, you already know how I feel about Structure Triaxs and for some odd reason, this purple colorway has been growing on me, watDOyouTHINK?

Normally I dont like/post G-Shocks but I'm making this ONE exception. PlayCloths have been on a roll as of recent, and this collaboration does not dissapoint....
