Audi R4 Seeking Production Approval

Audi is working on its R4 sports car which is a mid-engined, Boxster-sized, sports car. One bad news though is that Volkswagen has not yet given it a green light to hit the production line. Volkswagen is still to decide whether they will use an alloy or steel body construction for this new model. The platform that will be used for the Audi R4 will also be implemented on the BlueSport which was previewed in the form of the Bluesport Concept during the Detroit motor show back in 2009. The Audi R4 was previewed to the public as the e-Tron Concept during the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. The concept version used an electric motor but the production version will have an option for a 1.4L turbocharged engine and a 4-cylinder 1.6L engine running on petrol. There will also be a 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel powerplant.

Mercedes Benz G 350 With BlueTEC Technology

Fondly known as the "G-Wagon", the ruggedized sports-utility vehicle is the preferred vehicle of Middle East Sheiks and Beverly Hills soccer moms. It is also the standard-issued transportation for the Australian Defense Force and German Army. Now in its 31st year, the G-Class SUV will undergo a slight update with the new BlueTEC technology from Mercedes.

Adopting to the efficiency of diesel-powered vehicles, engineers at Mercedes developed BlueTEC as a way to further reduce diesel vehicles' emissions, especially nitrogen oxide (NOx). By introducing its patented AdBlue urea solution to the exhaust gas, BlueTEC is able to alter 80% of the nitrogen oxide into harmless nitrogen and water. Engineers also created a easy refill method for AdBlue - simply add the solution to a separate blue valve while filling up at a pert station. A full tank of AdBlue equates to 12,000 kilometers or 7,450 miles. Armed with a V6 diesel engine, G 350 is still able to generate 210-HP yet only emits 50% of the emission when compared to the model from the previous year, a significant improvement indeed.

No Words....

Ok I lied, this would be the Hispano Suiza, a redesigned Audi R8 V10 hooked by aforementioned company, who used to make cars back around WWII and then stop producing. This is definitely a good way to make a comeback. This beauty is set to be unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in Europe this year. A lot of the details are under wraps but here go the basics:

-hefty price tag of 700,000 Euros
-750 HP
-0-60 in 3.4 seconds
-Top Speed: 205 MPH
-may also be derive an EXTRA 150 HP from a hybrid drive system, that will allow you to travel on electricity for a unspecified amount of time

GTR Fire Engine

well if u know anything about cars, then u kno wat Nürburgring is...

Meet the Nürburgring Rapid Response GT-R. The back seat has been removed to make way for a tank full of fire-retarding foam. The firehose itself is in the trunk, along with other flame-fightin' gear. And because the Rapid Response GT-R will be hustling round the 'Ring nearly as fast as Toshio Suzuki would flog it, there's a roll cage and carbon fiber Recaro race seats.

Stringrays&Transformers

In a move to shore up public confidence following its stint in bankruptcy court, General Motors on Tuesday unveiled its 2-year product plan for the four core brands: Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GM. Included in the Chevrolet news is that production of the C7 Corvette will start in April 2012 for the 2013 model year. GM also added that the Corvette will maintain the front-engine layout that has defined the sports car for 57 years.

This is great news as earlier estimates had pushed back the C7 through 2014. This also means that the Corvette Team will now have the resources and the corporate edict to move full speed ahead on a new design that could see changes to America's sports car that include a smaller, lighter body, greater use of advanced weight-saving materials like carbon fiber, aluminum and magnesium and perhaps a smaller engine but one that will still provide the power-to-weight ratio that Corvette owners have become accustomed to.
